Guitarists and Bassists

Bass in Yo Face
  • Your instruments will be intonated before any recording takes place. Intonation is string gauge specific, so it is important that you arrive with a brand new set of strings on your instrument, of the brand and gauge that you prefer to play. Even if you're 100% certain you're intonated correctly, we will be checking your instrument (with a tuner much more accurate than the average stage tuner). If you want to "rough in" your intonation at home, our job will go faster.
  • Your instruments will be tuned before beginning, and as needed throughout tracking.
  • Have at least one extra set of your preferred strings, preferably two or more extra sets. We usually have a few sets of commonly gauged guitar and bass strings on hand, but there are no guarantees. Of course, if you use our strings you will be charged for them.
  • Please work out tuning peg, bridge piece, nut, fret, and electronic problems with your guitar tech of choice beforehand. If your axe requires minor saddle or truss rod adjustments, we can handle them - although we prefer you work everything out beforehand. Please eliminate buzzes and other noise.
